The program assessment process requires well-defined student outcomes and supporting curricular processes that enable students to learn, practice and develop the knowledge and skills necessary for their discipline of study. This course focuses on the importance of well-structured data collection and data analysis processes which are the foundation of the evaluation and decision making processes that lead to continuous improvement of the program.
Course Learning Outcomes

- Situate data collection and analysis within the Conceptual Model for Program Continuous Improvement©.
- Identify considerations for data collection.
- Describe the different processes involved in data analysis.
- Consider the applicability of the use of technology in data collection.
- Identify the practical considerations for leading the data collection and analysis process.

Course Details
This credentialing course is self-paced and allows registration at any time. Gain immediate access upon registration and start learning on your own schedule.
Expect to spend about eight hours completing the course. Once access is provided and you have logged-in, you have up to six months to complete the course and six months additional access to reference course materials, for a total of 12 months’ access. You must complete all course work and quizzes with a passing grade to earn a digital badge upon course completion. Course introductory quiz requires a 90% or higher, the module quizzes require a 70% or higher and the summative assessment requires an 80% or higher.
This is the second course of four, to complete to earn your Program Assessment Data and Decision Making digital certificate.
This course takes place online via D2L, ABET’s learning management system. An internet connection is required to access and complete the course work.
