Course 5
This course introduces the philosophy and principles of data visualization as it relates to program assessment. It is designed to provide examples of both assessment data and assessment process visualizations to help learners apply data visualization to their own program assessment process. Additional references and resources are provided to aid learners in exploration and application of data visualization in their assessment process.
Course Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Critique graphics and transform them into high impact graphics.
- Apply the principles of graphical integrity, graphical excellence, and graphical design to revise existing graphics and create new graphics from their own assessment process.

Course Details
This credentialing course is self-paced and allows registration at any time. Gain immediate access upon registration and start learning on your own schedule.
Expect to spend about eight hours completing the course. Once access is provided and you have logged-in, you have up to six months to complete the course and six months additional access to reference course materials, for a total of 12 months’ access. You must complete all course work and quizzes with a passing grade to earn a digital badge upon course completion. The module quizzes require a 70% or higher and submission of the culminating project is required as the summative assessment.

This course takes place online via D2L, ABET’s learning management system. An internet connection is required to access and complete the course work.
